With all our concerns for the environment we want our customers to be able to benefit from these. In addition to the afore-mentioned FSC certification, we support and work with a number of respected certification systems that form a guarantee for environmentally sound products making our efforts visible to our customers. A brief explanation of the most important ones:
ISO 14001 is an environmental management system that enables us work with environmental issues in a structured and effective way. All our paper mills are using this system which makes it possible for us to live up to other environmental certifications and governmental laws and requirements.
EMAS is a system for reporting environmental impact and it is used by all our mills. All our mills report annually to EMAS in accordance with their instructions. This is where we show our goals for the previous year and set new goals for the coming year.
OHSAS 18001 certification (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) is a European system that is used by our mill in Kostrzyn.

ISO 9001 is a quality certification system that is used by Arctic Paper Håfreström and Arctic Paper Kostrzyn.
Paper Profile is an information service that makes it easy for customers to compare different products. Supported by distributors and industry associations, leading pulp and paper manufacturers, this is a product declaration format used for individual products, providing essential information regarding key environmental parameters and the producing company.
FSC & PEFC-certified pulp. Today 45% of the European forests are PEFC certified, while as yet a lower but growing proportion are FSC certified. Arctic Paper works with both FSC and PEFC pulp.
