New FSC-certified paper qualities from Arctic Paper

Arctic Paper continues to be the leading fine paper supplier in Europe offering FSC-certified paper qualities. The company now offer the market even more FSC-certified qualities by introducing the possibility to choose FSC certification on the coated grades Arctic the Silk and Arctic the Matt. These are available as FSC certified in sheets for a small additional fee.

Among certifying institutions FSC has the strictest criteria for ecological forest treatment and the monitoring of these criteria is performed directly in the forests. Forest certification has the aim of ensuring that the forests are managed in a sustainable way. Arctic Paper has increased the number of certified products since 2003 when the first Munken paper quality was certified. Since then Arctic Paper have worked further to FSC certify both coated and uncoated papers and offer customers a broad range of certified products.

Facts about the paper:
Arctic the Silk is a white, fully coated paper with a silky, semi-matt surface that provides excellent reproduction of pictures and text. The paper is characterised by high bulk, opacity and rigidity and with good printing properties on press. The surface is reader friendly and adds good lift in multiplecolour areas. Arctic the Silk is certified according to ISO 12647 standard and has a wide range of substances covering 90-525 g/m2.

Arctic the Matt is a matt, coated paper with a surprisingly soft, white surface that has a natural feel. The paper has good opacity and rigidity, high bulk and excellent printing and finishing properties. The matt surface provides a reader-friendly, reflection-free surface. The range covers 90-300 g/m2.
