ARCTIC PAPER SA is the second-largest European producer of bulky book paper in terms of production volume and one of Europe’s leading producers of fine graphic paper. The group produces numerous types of uncoated woodfree and woodcontaining paper for printers and end users in the book and magazine publishing and the advertising industry.

The group currently has four paper mills, in Kostrzyn, Poland, Munkedal, Sweden, Grycksbo, Sweden and Mochenwangen, Germany. The total production capacity of the group’s four paper mills is over 800.000 metric tonnes of paper per year.

The paper mill in Kostrzyn has a production capacity of about 275,000 metric tonnes per year and produces chiefly uncoated wood-free paper for general printing uses, such as printing of books, brochures and forms, and making envelopes and other paper products.

The paper mill in Munkedal has a production capacity of about 160,000 metric tonnes per year and produces mainly uncoated wood-free paper, mainly used for printing books and high-quality brochures.

The Paper mill in Grycksbo has a production capacity of 265.000 metric tonnes per year and produces coated woodfree paper.

The paper mill in Mochenwangen has a production capacity of about 115,000 metric tonnes per year and produces chiefly uncoated wood-containing paper used primarily for printing books and flyers.

An important part of the group is its sales offices, which handle distribution and marketing of the group’s products. The group currently has 18 sales companies in Europe, providing access to all European markets, enabling it to capture 1/5 of the European market for bulky book paper.

The Arctic Paper group employs over 1,600 people. Management of the international group is based in Poznań, Poland. The majority shareholder of Arctic Paper SA is the Swedish company Trebruk AB, 25% of shares are in the hands of stock exchange shareholders.
