EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), adopted in June 2023, is designed to ensure that products sold in the EU are free from links to deforestation and forest degradation. It covers key commodities such as cattle, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, rubber, soy, and wood – and therefore also includes paper. From December 2025, companies must prove that these goods are both deforestation-free and legally produced, supported by traceability data such as geolocation.

At Arctic Paper, we take these obligations seriously. We source pulp and wood from carefully selected suppliers and are working closely with them to ensure full compliance with EUDR. Our dedicated EUDR Team is reviewing procedures, strengthening risk assessment, and enhancing traceability measures. This ensures that our paper not only meets legal requirements, but also supports responsible forestry and the protection of forests worldwide.
