Today’s Arctic Paper S.A. origins from the Trebruk AB Group that was established in 1983 with Munkedals AB as one of the mills. Trebruk opened up sales offices all over Europe and in 1993 Trebruk acquired Kostrzyn mill from the Polish state. Up until then the polish mill has been manufacturing both pulp and paper products.
After the take over Trebruk Abs operation were streamlined and the company only produced graphical paper. Since the purchase of Arctic Paper Kostrzyn S.A. an extensive process of integration has taken place, a process that got even more important by the acquisition of Arctic Paper Mochenwangen GmbH.
The aim is to ensure that all units within the Arctic Paper S.A. Group act as one single company. Starting on January 1st 2003 the Group changed its name to Arctic Paper.
In the end of 2008 the company acquired the Mochenwangen mill, took the decision of closing down the Arctic Paper Håfreström mill and to do an IPO in Warsaw during 2009. During 2010 we took a new step and acquired the Swedish mill, Arctic Paper Grycksbo. During 2015 a decision was taken to close down Arctic Paper Mochenwangen.
